"My current body of work is influenced by human interaction with the environment of large cities as well as skill sets and techniques taught by the Boy Scouts of America. The ethics and practices of scouting influence my interaction with the city I live in. Being taught to “leave no trace” in the wilderness, I collect discarded clothes, food wrappers, scrap wood, signs, and other often overlooked objects and bring them to my studio. Repeatedly setting up and dismantling campsites has influenced my approach to making and utilizing environments."
